We encourage our members to take control of their lives and health care by providing up-to-date information on all aspects of HIV treatment and adherence. We also provide comprehensive information on sexually transmitted infections and safer sexual practices. In order to assist our members to develop better dialogues with their healthcare staff the latest HIV treatment and care directories are available to our members which covers all aspects of HIV therapy, medical tests, side effects, opportunistic infections and drugs used in the treatment of HIV and associated illnesses.

Open heart House members in association with the staff of Crosscare can access advice on all queries in relation to housing, homelessness, (people at risk of becoming homeless) and advocacy on behalf of the person when dealing with both statutory and voluntary agencies.
Positive Education Evenings
Through our education programme, guest speakers are invited to come to Open heart House to present information evenings on a range of topics. These include treatment updates, stress management, HIV/HepC co-infection, managing depression, disclosure, multiculturalism, sexual health, living with addiction and personal development to name but a few. Our Poz-Ed evenings are held in our coffee dock in a relaxed, informal setting which encourages interaction and exploration on the issues mentioned.
