The criteria for Membership are simply medical verification of ones HIV+ status and a willingness to maintain a confidential, alcohol, drug-free, and supportive environment. The Membership Rights & Responsibilities Policy & Confidentiality Policy both underpins the working of this criterion The concept of membership has, in our experience facilitated sense of ownership and belonging which in turn promotes an awareness of community and active membership participation in the growth and development of OHH and its network.

To become a member simply call the membership Team for an appointment that suits you. Do bring along medical verification of your HIV+ health status. Your first visit will include an overview of the centres services and facilities while allowing the Membership Team find out how they can best support you in living positively with this illness.

Following this, and if you are happy to keep Open heart House confidential and safe in line with the Membership Rights & Responsibilities policy and Confidentiality policy you will be welcome to enrol as a member. 

Open heart House then becomes YOUR SAFE PLACE where you will automatically have full access to all services and facilities.  Together with this you can, if you desire have an introduction to a nationwide support network of members.
